Downloading jigsaws on a Windows computer:
The basic technique is to fetch each purchased item's download file, then open that file on your computer, to install the game or jigsaw set you purchased.
To do this, click the download links (from the "Thank you" page, or your e-mail receipt) and select "Open" or "Run".
Or select "Save file as..." and save the file to your Documents or Downloads folder and then open it from there.
If you wish to backup a download file, copy the download file to a USB flash drive (memory stick).
After installing new jigsaw sets, if you don't see them, quit and re-launch your
Jigsaws Galore game.
The new jigsaw sets appear as new yellow folder icons in the middle of the game's opening screen.
Some possible problems:
If a download link doesn't work you might need to temporarily disable your anti-virus software.
If that doesn't work you might also need to clear your browser's cache and try again.
If you see any warning message to the effect that the files are "not commonly downloaded" or "have insufficient reputation score" or such like,
please click past the warning, which is simply saying that the files are new and have not been downloaded enough times yet to form an opinion
based on other people's comments.
If you see a warning "The app you're trying to install isn't a microsoft verified app":
- Open Windows Settings (a gear icon on your Start Menu)
- Go to Apps and find Apps & features or Advanced App Settings
- In the "Choose where to get apps" menu, select something other than "The Microsoft Store only"
If you installed new jigsaw sets but can't find them, please quit and re-launch your
Jigsaws Galore game. The new jigsaw sets will
then appear as new yellow folder icons, roughly in the middle of the game's opening screen. They may get hidden by another open folder, so
close it or move it out of the way. If you purchased more than one jigsaw set, the new folder icons will be stacked on top of each other.
To tidy the icons, right-click an empty part of the game's opening screen and select "Tidy screen".

Downloading the Jigsaws Galore for Mac game:
The basic technique is to fetch the game's download file to your computer, then open it to reveal an orange, flowery jigsaw piece icon,
which is the
Jigsaws Galore app.
Important: Drag the app to your desktop (or your Applications folder if you prefer).
Downloading a new jigsaw set:
The basic technique is to fetch each jigsaw set's download file to your computer, then open that file to reveal the jigsaw set installer within it
(a gray, jigsaw piece icon). Open this to install the new jigsaw set into your
Jigsaws Galore app.
After installing new jigsaw sets, if you don't see them in your game, quit and re-launch your
Jigsaws Galore game.
The new jigsaw sets appear as new yellow folder icons in the middle of the game's opening screen.
Detailed instructions to download a file:
To download a file, click its download link (from the "Thank you" page, or your e-mail receipt), which will start your Safari browser
which will then automatically start to download the game or jigsaw set file. In other words your browser
will start to copy that file from our server to your computer. Select
View/Show Downloads in the Safari menu bar to watch
the progress of this file being downloaded. Wait for the file to finish arriving and then, if your browser does not open the file automatically,
open it yourself by double-clicking the file in the progress window. If your browser does not show the downloaded file, open Finder and you should
be able to find the file in your Downloads folder. The file will end in ".dmg" and should be the most recent one listed. Double click the file to open it.
If this is the
Jigsaws Galore app, you will see the
Jigsaws Galore icon (an orange, flowery jigsaw piece).
Important: Drag the app icon to your desktop (or to your Applications folder if you prefer).
If this is a jigsaw set, you will see the jigsaw set installer (a gray, jigsaw piece icon). Open this to install the jigsaw set.
You will see the 50 jigsaw thumbnails go by as the jigsaws are being installed into your
Jigsaws Galore game.
